I climbed up the Gran Sasso I was utterly astonished It seemed to me that step after step I was climbing into infinity. What blue colour, what wide sea what light, what beauty Rome too and the other sea could be seen from that height. Then I climbed up on the Majella the Mountain all in Flower how beautiful, how beautiful it looked as if it was made for love. So much sun, so much peace what magic the sound of pipes the shepherd stays awake in silence for the god of the Maiella. Then I went down to the shore and the sails of all colour in the morning sun all were lit up! To himself sings of his love the shepherd to the mountain a song answers him from the sea to the countryside.
